To champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school, and prepare for life.
Dept of Juvenile Justice and Deliquency Prevention provides for four programs; Strengthening Families, a parenting program that attempts to build effective family commication skills, community support, and provide positive role models for at risk families. CIS After School to reduces the instances of juvenile crive, both as perpetrators and as victims during the hours of 3-6pm, a time when most teenagers are unsupervised. Gives Back program provides a means for referred juveniles to do community service Transition program provides students at the Alternative School who are also court reffered with mentors/mentee to meet their needs.
Partners Substance Abuse Program provides substance abuse prevention/education for students and families served by Communities In Schools.
BOSCH grant provides STEM education for students served by Communities In Schools.
