Organizations Filed Purposes: The Organization is a partnership of public policy, advocacy and grassroots organizing nonprofits dedicated to achieving a better, fairer, healthier North Carolina through the development of an integrated communications and civic engagement strategy.

Program 1) 2018 was a record-breaking Midterm election and in North Carolina, we turned out a record number of voters. Our partners collected 111,533 voter registration applications. We conducted a statewide Get Out the Vote program with more than 15 partners and allies who together mailed 4,270,37 voters, made 665,13 phone calls, sent 453,185 text messages, and knocked on 238,330 doors. We partnered with 32 organizations across the state and Civic Nations #VoteTogether initiative to host 175 non-partisan, family-friendly, community-driven celebrations at or near Early Voting and Election Day polling locations across North Carolina that were celebratory events focused on fun for everyone, with free food and snacks, music and entertainment.

Program 2) The Just Florence Recovery Collective is a coalition of North Carolina organizations devoted to providing community-based support and shifting the narrative about what a just, equitable recovery that centers those most impacted by climate disasters looks like. The Just Recovery work is an extension of our Eastern NC working group started in 2016. The response brought together the states civic engagement, environmental justice and community development movement. Maintaining and growing this new alignment will be a priority in 2019. It also organized actions to call on state lawmakers to increase the amount of disaster relief monies and, in collaboration with Blueprint partners, highlighted that lawmakers focus on the emergency at hand rather than passing voter ID laws that would disproportionately impact voters in the East. To date, individual donations are at $600,000 and climbing, more than 85 trucks filled with food, water, toiletries, first aid kits, and more were deployed to points central, south and east, and thanks to the generosity of citizens with private planes, "Operation AirDrop," made over 100 trips to deliver supplies.

Program 3) The Black Leadership and Organizing Collective crisscrossed the state with a Dinner and Strategy Tour to receive feedback on their Five-Year Plan and successfully built new and deeper relationships with community leaders, organizations, and business while strengthening our statewide infrastructure. The tour made stops in Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, High Point, Durham, Raleigh, Greeneville, and Fayetteville, reaching more than 250 leaders from across the state.
