NCLCVF engages people to protect our environment and promote the well-being of our communities. We work to turn environmental values into NC priorities by engaging people in the democratic process, organizing in communities, cultivating environmental leaders, and advocating for policies that protect the health and quality of life for all North Carolinians.

Influencing rulemaking/policy-making: watchdog rulemaking process & administrative advocacy with state agencies to improve NC environmental rules; advocacy within limits of 501h election; advocate for joint priorities.
Enforcement Campaign: research & publications on environmental enforcement in NC; host meetings; work with state and nationals groups on enforcement issues; raise public awareness of issues, with focus on sedimentation pollution, FRACKING. Work with state agencies and commissions to improve enforcement strategies. Provide detailed support and resources to the environmental community on enforcement issues. Work to ensure that the environmental community and state agency staff are working together and communicating effectively.
