Organizations Filed Purposes:
Through collaborative efforts, opportunities will be made for citizens to create nurturing and supportive environments in which young children can develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually to their fullest potential. The primary emphasis will be on children ages 0-5 and their families.
Early Childhood Education: 583 families received consumer education about child care; 52 teachers from 32 facilities used the lending library; 400 children and their families received kindergarten transition materials; 44 training events were presented; 278 child care teachers from 90 different facilities received training; 70 child care facilities received technical assistance during COVID -19 crisis; 10 teachers at 9 child care facilities received on site in person technical assistance; 580 teachers in 31 child care facilities received salary supplements for staying in place and continuing their education; 6 infant/toddler teachers from 3 child care centers received intensive technical assistance, training and professional development as well as grants of quality enhancement materials; 13 child care centers received outdoor learning environment enhancements; 26 child care centers received training and technical assistance around outdoor environments and nutrition; 495 families received service referrals: 248 children received subsidized child care; 324 children were enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten program.
Family Support: 8 families received intensive home visiting services; 14 families participated in group parent education; 19 parents participated in one time parent training events.
