To help youth from all backgrounds, with special concern for those from disadvantaged circumstances, develop the qualities and skills needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
The Club offers youth activities including tutorial services for daily homework assignments, physical education activities, and activities to promote social interaction. The Club currently operates from three (3) facility locations: OT Sloan services approximately 400 students, Wren Family Center serves approximately 100 students and Harnett County location serves approximately 100 students.One highlighted activity, the above and beyond program, is funded by NCDI and offers STEM (science, technology, and engineering and math) opportunities to club members ranging from 8th grade through 12th grade. 120 Members must complete the following components of the program each year: Paxton Patterson STEM lab participation, BGCA approved programs participation, before and after testing, minimum attendance and individual academic and social progress assessments.
