Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Cleveland County Arts Council will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in programs and activities that will enrich cultural life. This is accomplished through visual art exhibits, classes, festivals and other events.
Summer Art Camp: Art camp was held but with much lower attendance due to COVID 19 restrictions.
The mission of the Art of Sound Music Festival is to expose the community to a diverse musical experience by featuring local, regional and national artists who demonstrate a pursuit of excellence in their chosen genre. The purpose of Art of Sound is to not only celebrate, respect and honor those musicians from our county but to invite musicians from other regions to visit and perform and to provide opportunities for our citizens to hear these talented musicians.
Arts in Education: Largest outreach into the community reaching over 10,000 students in Cleveland County Schools normally; this year due to COVID 19 half of the performances were canceled. Student Art Competition was held virtually with over 800 children participating. Artist in Schools grants awarded to teachers and scholarships given to high school seniors.
