Working on social justice issues affecting low income communities. In keeping with its history, the organization supported residents in the local rural community through activities that enhance the viability & sustainability of families, farmers & org. to over 16,000 visitors.
One of the major programs of FCAB is the Bricks Museum and Library Project which provides students and community residents of the surrounding areas with opportunities to better understand their own rich community resources, culture and history. The project demonstrates how this knowledge plays a vital role in individual and community transformation leading to better educational outcomes, racial understanding, and community development. The project provides tours, storytelling, workshops, books, videos, exhibits, and cultural education classes and events.Bricks Healthy Lifestyles Project provides health and recreational activities to the local community. The project offers water safety classes, swimming lessons, recreational swimming, aquatic exercise classes, aerobic exercises, and walking trails.FCAB hosts & provides activities that support local resident on topics, such as academic achievement, economic development, disaster relief & family strenthening
