MI CASA PROVIDES A CRITICAL RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF THE SPANISH SPEAKING COMMUNITY IN THE FORSYTH AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES AND SEEKS TO FILL THE CULTURAL VOID THAT EXISTS BETWEEN THE SPANISH-SPEAKING AND NON SPANISH-SPEAKING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH SERVICES.
MI CASA WAS BORN OUT OF A NEED IN THE HISPANIC/LATINO COMMUNITY TO RECEIVE BASIC SERVICES THAT UPHOLD THE IDEA THAT ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUAL. AS THE COMMUNITY MEETS THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE, IT IS MI CASA'S MISSION TO PROVIDE THE STRENGTH NEEDED FROM THE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE THROUGH MI CASA.
RUNS A TAX ADVOCACY PROGRAM THAT IS DESIGNED TO HELP FAMILIES FILE TAX RETURNS AND DEAL WITH TAX RELATED ISSUES AT LOWER COST. ALSO PROVIDED CLIENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER RENEWALS. WHILE FOCUSING ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY FOR THEIR CLIENTS.
THE IMMIGRATION PROGRAM HELPED INDIVIDUAL NAVIGATE THE COMPLICATED PROCEDURES AND POLICIES THAT ARE INVOLVED WITH IMMIGRATING TO THE UNITED STATES. IT HAS ALSO HELPED PEOPLE WITH THE TRANSITION OF MOVING BETWEEN COUNTRIES. WHILE FOCUSING ON THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY FOR THEIR CLIENTS.
