To support quality education in the Ashland public schools through fundraising in the community.
Education Support Grants 124,197 The Education Support Grants fund educational staffing in the schools and make up the bulk of the annual grants the Ashland Schools Foundation ASF awards to the Ashland School District. Each year the ASF Board of Directors decides the amount and restrictions of the grants to the school district using input from the Superintendent of Schools regarding the needs in the schools, and taking into account the amount of funds available and the concerns of the ASF donors.
Impact Grants These classroom-based grants are for innovative, hands-on projects. The budget for the grants is set by the ASF board annually. Twice each year teachers are encouraged to apply for grants, using a set of criteria created by the ASF Grants Comittee to guide them. The grants are reviewed by the Grants Committee, who makes fundi recommendations at a regular board meeting.
Directed Grants These represent directed donations by the donor to specific programs in the Ashland public schools. The two highest grants were to AHS Track Restoration for 20,265 and the AHS Theatre Program for 7,517
