TO INSPIRE WONDER AMONG CHILDREN AND ADULTS, AND STIMULATE CREATIVE EXPLORATION THROUGH INTERACTIVE SCIENCE AND THE ARTS.
SCIENCE CENTER WITH HANDS-ON EXHIBITS, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS, AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS.
Science Education Programs; in 2019 ScienceWorks served approximately 9,200 students through on- and off-site programs in 9 regional counties. Regional events and festivals and themed weekend events brought science education opportunities to day visitors and members. New teacher training programs multiplied the impact of hands-on techniques to regional classrooms and students.
Science Exhibits. ScienceWorks expanded the reach of its mission to a national level through its exhibit leasing and sales function. This program provides three world-class science exhibitions, designed and built by ScienceWorks for lease to science museums and centers across the USA.
Hands-on Science Center. In 2019 the science center served 49,450 visitors with over 100 interactive exhibits, science activities, and hands-on programs. Collaborative programs with regional Head Start Centers and youth programs extended the outside of school impact to more lower income and non-traditional families. Collaborations with the Osher Foundation extended the science center experience to seniors through the Southern Oregon University.
