Organizations Filed Purposes: SUPPORT STRONG PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN OUR COMMUNITY BY DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS TO FUND PROGRAMS THAT INSPIRE AND INCREASE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT.

FOUNDED IN 1988, THE BEAVERTON EDUCATION FOUNDATION ("BEF") IS A 501(C)(3) COMMUNITY-BASED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION. BEF RAISES MONEY TO PROVIDE HANDS-ON INNOVATIVE ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT AND ADVANCEMENT PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS THAT GO BEYOND NORMAL SCHOOL FUNDING AT ALL 53 BEAVERTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS. BEF MOBILIZES COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO FUND INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM, SUMMER AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS.

THE BEAVERTON EDUCATION FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS THAT ENRICH LEARNING AND ACTIVELY ENGAGE STUDENTS. ALL BEAVERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF MEMBERS - TEACHERS, COUNSELORS, BUS DRIVERS AND SPECIALISTS, ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR SUPPORT. BEF STRIVES TO FUND EVERY SCHOOL AND REACH AS MANY OF OUR DISTRICT'S 41,000 STUDENTS AS POSSIBLE.BEAVERTON'S CHOICE GRANTS OF UP TO $2,500 ARE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENT-ENGAGED PROJECTS THAT ENRICH LEARNING AND ENCOURAGE CLASSROOM INNOVATION IN ANY CONTENT AREA. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2020, BEF AWARDED $67,842 IN BEAVERTON'S CHOICE GRANTS AND $30,292 IN PROGRAM DIRECTED SUPPORT. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.BEF MIDDLE SCHOOL EXTENDED DAY AWARDS: NONCOMPETITIVE BLOCK GRANTS AWARDED TO MIDDLE SCHOOLS TO FUND BEFORE AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR TUTORING, ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY, ACTIVITIES, AND ENRICHMENT FOR STUDENTS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2020, BEF AWARDED $50,120 IN MIDDLE SCHOOL EXTENDED DAY AWARDS.BEF KIDS COUNT GRANTS: GRANTS RANGING FROM $5,000 TO $10,000 FOR EXTENDED DAY OR YEAR PROGRAMS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2020, BEF AWARDED $110,284 IN BEF KIDS COUNT GRANTS.BEF HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY AWARDS: DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2020, BEF AWARDED $16,775 TO VARIOUS BEAVERTON SCHOOL DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOLS AND $1,400 IN-KIND TO BAND TOGETHER PROGRAM.
