Interaction Design Association (IxDA) believes that the human condition is increasingly challenged by poor experiences. IxDA intends to improve the human condition by advancing the discipline of Interaction Design. To do this, we foster a community of of people that choose to come together to support this intention. IxDA relies on individual initiative, contribution, sharing and self-organization as the primary means for us to achieve our goals.IxDA relies on its passionate subscribers and volunteers to help serve the needs of the international Interaction Design community. With more than 50,000 subscribers and 149+ local groups around the world, the IxDA network actively focuses on interaction design issues for the practitioner, no matter their level of experience. Interaction Design Association (IxDA) successfully held its annual interactions conference and awards program in Helsinki, Finland. Planning stages for the 2017 annual conference and awards program, to be held in New York City, are underway.
Interaction Design Association (IxDA) launched its ninth annual interactions conference, held in Helsinki, Finland. The conference attracted more than 800 attendees from all over the world, and featured over 100 speakers and vareity of workshops over its four-day event period.
Following five successful years of the Interaction Awards initiative, another year of the Awards program has opened for entries. The judging process is scheduled to take place in November 2016, and to follow by presentation of winning entries at the 2017 conference.
Local groups have continued to play vital roles fostering the community.
