Organizations Filed Purposes: To grow disciples of Jesus Christ by ministering to and serving those in need while sharing Gods hope, faith, and love, bringing them to a place of restoration and empowering them to become productive members of our society.

Mens Long-Term Discipleship & Habilitation Program is a free, residential in-house, nine month to two-year six-phase program. We have 30 residents in our program from the ages of 18 to 80. Life controlling issues dealt with in the phases may include financial, legal, addiction, physical, and mental health issues. Program classes are taught by staff, volunteers, trained professionals, pastors and educators that include addiction recovery, anger management, DBT, Reality Therapy & Choice Theory, relapse prevention, Bible study, and outdoor activity therapies. During their program, residents participate in outside recovery meetings, church, and community service projects. Each resident has a mentor from the community, an in-house discipleship partner and access to private therapeutic sessions. Our men have the opportunity to work on completing their GEDs, go to college, or train for jobs as they move through the phases. In-house, they perform the duties of caring for the for their home including, cooking, cleaning and general maintenance of the house, property and vehicles, assist with homeless services, and monitor security. SHM provides their meals (32,850/year), clothing and shelter (10,950 nights/year) during their program and as the re-integrate into the community.

Bend Emergency Shelter & Emergency Services is open year-round in a permanent location. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner every day for men, women, and children, serving up to 23,000 meals a year, offering 5,000 nights of stay for men, 1,500 showers for men and women, and about 10,000 pieces of clothing, hygiene items, sleeping bags, backpacks, and tents, when available. In addition, guests are welcome to attend classes and participate in community that often leads to entry into the long-term Discipleship and Habilitation Program. We also offer assistance and informaton to help guests locate permanent housing, access services, and reconnect with family. Medical assistance is provided weekly at our location by Mosaic Medical.
