Specialized health and human services: Provided computer classes (150) hours; exercise, tai chi and yoga classes, Pickleball and Walk with Ease (3527), medicare counseling (115), medical and nutritional awareness talks (140) blood pressure clinic (125).
Comprehensive senior services: Prepared and served congregate meals (8,475) and hot home bound meals (18,603) 5 days a week, including frozen meals for the home bound on weekends. Our Meals On Wheels program also provides a friendly face and a check on the client to insure that everything is OK. Total of 27,078 meals served.
Comprehensive senior community services: Provided a gathering place for seniors to congregate during the day, with entertainment such as card and board games (3150), ukulele, stamps (527), respite day care (1050 hours for 11 individuals), AARP Driver Safety classes (120), caregiver meetings, support groups and other miscellaneous services as requested by seniors (1000 hours serving over 300 individuals). For seniors who live alone this is often their only social contact. Provided space and equipment for AARP Taxaide program where 20 volunteers donated over 3900 hours preparing 796 federal tax returns and assisting 896 taxpayers. Provided a meeting place for community groups and county and state political representatives with over 3000 community members attending these meetings.
