Curry Public Transit Inc provides safe, courteous, affordable public transportation to older adults, persons with disabilities and the general public along the Southern Oregon coastal corridor and within larger Curry County towns.
Transportation Program. CPTI runs a fixed route on Hwy 101 along the Oregon coast. It covers 129 miles between Smith River CA and Coos Bay/North Bend OR. It is open to the general public. It runs 6 days a week, 3 round trips a day. We provided 12,537 rides during 7,988 hours of service and 228,365 miles.
Transportation Program. Only provider of demand service and Dial A Ride in Curry County OR (pop. 22,925. Operates in the two largest towns, Brookings (pop. 13,600), 6 days a week and Gold Beach (pop. 3,500), 4 days a week. Total DAR rides were 13,855 during 3,926 hours of service and covered 50,169 miles.
Transportation Programs. CPTI's mission specifies additional service to older adults and persons with disabilities. They travel at half fare. All buses have wheelchair lifts. CPTI provided 19,602 rides to older Americans and people with disabilities. Limited medical transportation is available. 142 medical rides were provided traveling 5,214 miles during 533 hours. CPTI also provides passes to various community agencies for their clients, and participates in community events as requested. Part of the revenue is included in Accomplishment 2.
