Organizations Filed Purposes:
Our mission is to build community together. We have three main programs: Basic Needs, Civic Engagement, and Community and Culture. Our main audience is the Latinx community of Benton and Linn Counties.
Basic Needs - We aid migrant and refugee families needing assistance with interpreting, translations, completing forms and applications, resume building, drafting letters, technology assistance, help with making medical appointments, and referrals to low-cost or free legal services.Through this program, and since the pandemic started, Casa Latinos Unidos has been providing emergency financial assistance to families facing economic hardship. In addition, we partnered with We Care to offer one-time emergency assistance to families in Benton County and with Community Consortium CARES Rental Assistance Program to help families living in Linn and Benton Counties. From April to July, we were able to help families in Lincoln County due to funding through InterCommunity Health Network CCO. We served over 1,200 people and distributed over $50,000. We also added new positions to ensure people are getting accurate information about COVID and available social services. Prior to the pandemic, we held two outdoor events in Community and Culture and two events related to Civic Engagement and Leadership.
