BALLET FANTASTIQUE FULL-LENGTH CONTEMPORARY BALLET PREMIERES IN THE 19-20 20TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON INCLUDED THE NEW "NEVERMORE: STORIES OF EDGAR ALLAN POE" (OCT. 2019) WITH PIANIST LIZ DORMAN FROM SAN FRANCISCO, INTERNATIONAL AWARD-WINNING RUSSIAN ACCORDIONIST SERGEI TELESHEV, AND CELLIST DALE BRADLEY FROM THE OREGON MOZART PLAYERS. THE SEASON ALSO FEATURED: BALLET FANTASTIQUE'S ALL-ORIGINAL "BABES IN TOYLAND" (DEC. 2019), WITH SWING SHIFT JAZZ ORCHESTRA PLAYING DUKE ELLINGTON'S NUTCRACKER AND GUEST VOCALIST FROM THE UO GOSPEL SINGERS; AND BALLET FANTASTIQUE'S ORIGINAL "DRAGON & THE NIGHT QUEEN: CELTIC STORIES" (MAR. 2020), WITH LIVE MUSIC FROM AWARD- WINNING UILLEANN PIPE PLAYER ELLIOT GRASSO AND THE GERRY REMPEL ENSEMBLE. PASSPORT TO DANCE EVENTS IN OCTOBER AND DECEMBER BROUGHT STUDENT GROUPS TO THE HULT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS-MANY FOR THE FIRST TIME-TO EXPERIENCE LIVE PROFESSIONAL DANCE THEATRE. EDUCATOR CLASSROOM PACKETS AND A POST- PERFORMANCE Q&A SUPPLEMENTED THE PASSPORT TO DANCE YOUTH LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
