Organizations Filed Purposes:
We are a non-profit organization working in Uganda. We fight the hunger, fear and rejection experienced by abandoned, neglected and rejected children. We provide a home, education, and a loving family atmosphere to enable them to break the cycle of poverty they were born into. We have a transition and University scholarship program for children over the age of 18. Additionally we have multiple community outreach programs including education assistance for primary and secondary age students in the community and a University scholarship program for at risk youth in the community. Our sustainability project, Nile River Farms is flourishing as well.
To fight hunger, fear and rejection by providing destitute Ugandan children with an education, family structure and a safe environment in which they can thrive.
There are 170 children enrolled in PFP edcuation programs. The children and young adults in our programs recieve educational support (from nursery school through Univeristy) which includes school fees, school supplies, field trips, boarding school expenses, school uniforms, and sports program fees. a. 36 in the main programb. 70 in the PFP Juniors programc. 15 in the supervised independent living programd. 46 in the resettlement programe. 3 in the AHU program
Human care program accomplishments: We provide support, supervision, socialization and whatever else is needed to meet the human needs of the 170 children who either live in PFP housing or receive daily support while living in their family's home. Human care includes birthday celebrations, field trips, special events and activities, reading materials, games, and more.
Nutrition and food program accomplishments: We provide three nutritious meals per day, 365 days per year to 170 children who either live in PFP provided housing or receive daily support while living in their family's home.
