Organizations Filed Purposes: Our mission is to serve and support our members in the american Judo community while upholding the principles of mutual welfare and benefit.

The federation provides an integrated systems of standards, rankings and competitions to serve and support the American Judo community. In fiscal 2018 the federation served 8513 members and 293 clubs/dojos. Under the oversight of standards, 1095 new certifications and 297 black belts were awarded. Competition is integral to judo and the federation sanctioned 169 events for the fiscal year.

As a highly physical activity, judo has risks that require specialized insurance coverage. The federation provides overall insurance for accidental medical and liability to members and clubs for classes and sanctioned events to encourage the growth of judo.
