ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND BROADCASTS LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY SYNDICATED CLASSICAL MUSIC PROGRAMMING TO AS MANY AS 200,000+ WEEKLY REGIONAL FM LISTENERS ALONE (SOURCE: NIELSEN AUDIO), AND APPROXIMATELY 10,000+ LISTENERS ACCESS OUR ONLINE STREAM EACH MONTH, REPRESENTING 50 STATES IN THE USA AND OVER 105 COUNTRIES. ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND PROVIDES DAILY PROGRAMMING THAT IS 98% LOCALLY PRODUCED, CURATED FOR THE COMMUNITY, AND AVAILABLE TO THE WORLD. ON-GOING SPECIALTY PROGRAMS INCLUDE ON DECK WITH YOUNG MUSICIANS FEATURING YOUNG REGIONAL MUSICIANS, CLUB MOD FOCUSED ON THE MUSIC OF LIVING COMPOSERS, AND SUNDAY BRUNCH: EXPLORING CULTURES THROUGH DELICIOUS MUSIC, WHICH ADDED A CULINARY COMPONENT DURING THE PANDEMIC TO AID MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL FOOD INDUSTRY AT A CRITICAL TIME. IN ADDITION, ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND PRODUCES AND NATIONALLY SYNDICATES THE SCORE, A RADIO SHOW ABOUT FILM MUSIC.IN APRIL 2019, ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND LAUNCHED A NEW RADIO CHANNEL FOR CHILDREN, THE INTERNATIONAL CHILDRENS ARTS NETWORK (ICAN). ICAN EXPANDED FROM 17 HRS/DAY TO 24 HRS/DAY IN APRIL 2020, BROADENING ITS CONTENT CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO CARE FOR AND EDUCATE THEM. STREAMING INCREASED 83% IN THIS SECOND YEAR OF PROGRAMMING, AND WAS USED BY PARENTS AND TEACHERS TO SUPPLEMENT AT HOME LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES DURING THE PANDEMIC.THE INTERNATIONAL CHILDRENS ARTS NETWORK (ICAN) IS A COMMERCIAL-FREE NETWORK AVAILABLE ON ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS HD-2 CHANNELS, ONLINE AT ICANRADIO.ORG AND VIA THE FREE MOBILE ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND APP. IT IS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, STIMULATE CREATIVITY AND PLAYFULNESS, AWAKEN THE IMAGINATION, PROMOTE EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL LITERACY, AND FOSTER CROSS-CULTURAL AWARENESS. ICANS MUSICAL PROGRAMMING TAKES AN INCLUSIVE APPROACH TO THE CLASSICAL CANON TO HIGHLIGHT TRADITIONS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE, PROVIDING CHILDREN WITH AN ENTRY POINT TO LEARNING ABOUT WORLD CULTURES AND TRADITIONS THROUGH MUSIC AND LITERATURE. PLATFORMS/INCREASED CAPACITY: ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND SUCCESSFULLY ADDED KSLC 90.3FM (FORMERLY OF LINFIELD UNIVERSITY) TO ITS BROADCAST NETWORK, ALLOWING THE STATION TO CONTINUE INCREASING ACCESS OF PROGRAMMING TO ADDITIONAL AUDIENCES, AND IMPROVE USER EXPERIENCES.

MARKETING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:THE STATION ENGAGES OVER 10,000 PEOPLE WEEKLY VIA SOCIAL MEDIA AND OVER 30,000 PEOPLE IN A BI-WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER. THE WEBSITE PROVIDES AN UP-TO-THE-MINUTE RESOURCE ABOUT PROGRAMMING AND HIGHLIGHTS AND EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION; AND A CULTURAL EVENTS CALENDAR HIGHLIGHTING KEY CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP EVENTS (MANY VIRTUAL) SPONSORED AND SUPPORTED BY THE STATION. THE WEBSITE OFFERS ARCHIVED PROGRAMS ON-DEMAND.ICAN IS ONE OF FOUR INITIATIVES OF JOY (JOYOUS OUTREACH TO YOU/TH). JOY LAUNCHED IN 2017 AND IS ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS PROJECT DEDICATED TO EQUITY AND INCLUSION. OTHER JOY PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE STATIONS YOUTH ROVING REPORTERS (YRR), AN ARTS JOURNALISM TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM. THROUGH THIS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS ON-AIR HOSTS MENTOR SELECT YOUTH ROVING REPORTERS (AGES 15-18), PROVIDING THEM WITH GUIDANCE AND INSIGHT ON WHAT IT IS TO BE A BROADCASTER AND HOW TO TELL THE STORIES OF THEIR COMMUNITIES. ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS 2020-2021 YOUTH ROVING REPORTER IS BELISE NISHIMWE. WHERE WE LIVE IS JOYS RADIO SERIES THAT SHINES A SPOTLIGHT ON ORGANIZATIONS THAT PRESENT OR CREATE PROGRAMS IN ART, THEATER OR MUSIC THAT EXPLORE THE INTERSECTION OF ART AND SOCIAL JUSTICE/COMMUNITY ISSUES. IN 2020 THE SERIES FEATURED ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE ME2 ORCHESTRA, AND THE NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS AND CULTURES FOUNDATION. THE FOURTH INITIATIVE OF ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS JOY PROJECT IS A COMPREHENSIVE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE (AIR) PROGRAM, STARTED IN 2019. AIR HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO FOSTER CREATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH FOR YOUNG, EMERGING, AND ESTABLISHED PERFORMING ARTISTS. RESIDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS WORLD-CLASS FACILITIES AND STUDIO TIME AND ARE OFFERED ON-AIR AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING APPEARANCES ON RADIO PROGRAMS, AT STATION EVENTS AND CONCERTS, AND ON SPECIAL BROADCASTS. RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PURSUE ARTISTIC RESEARCH PROJECTS AND TO PUBLISH RELATED ARTICLES ABOUT THEIR WORK AND FINDINGS THROUGH ALL CLASSICAL PORTLANDS WIDE-REACHING PLATFORMS. RESIDENTS RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP AWARD TO ASSIST IN THEIR CREATIVE PROJECTS AND PERFORMANCES, AND/OR CONTINUED STUDIES. IN ADDITION, EACH RESIDENT IS PRESENTED BY ALL CLASSICAL PORTLAND IN RECITAL DURING THEIR RESIDENCY. THE RESIDENCY IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT ARTISTS IN PURSUIT OF NEW PROJECTS AND IDEAS, TAKE CREATIVE RISKS, AND TO EQUITABLY SUPPORT LOCAL PERFORMERS AND COMPOSERS. THE 2020-2021 ARTIST IN RESIDENCE IS FLUTIST ADAM ECCLESTON. THE 2020 YOUNG ARTIST IN RESIDENCE WAS PIANIST NATALIE TAN.THE STATION MAINTAINS AN ACTIVE VOLUNTEER AND INTERN PROGRAM. THESE PROGRAMS BOLSTER THE ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE TRAINING IN PUBLIC BROADCASTING. NEARLY 100 VOLUNTEERS REPRESENT THE STATION.
