BRADLEY ANGLE'S MISSION IS TO SERVE ALL PEOPLE AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (CONTINUED ON SCH. O)BRADLEY ANGLE'S MISSION IS TO SERVE ALL PEOPLE AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. WE PLACE ANY PERSON EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AT THE CENTER OF OUR SERVICES AND PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR SAFETY, EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, HEALING, AND HOPE.
BRADLEY ANGLE OFFERS RESIDENTIAL AND COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS TO SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN. OUR RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE EMERGENCY SHELTER AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE. EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SAFETY AND HELP SURVIVORS AND THEIR CHILDERN GET OUT OF IMMEDIATE CRISIS. IN 2019-2020, BRADLEY ANGLE PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVICES TO 55 ADULT SURVIVORS AND 83 OF THEIR CHILDREN.
OUR COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS INCLUDE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT SERVICES TO BUILD ECONOMIC SECURITY AND JOB SKILLS AND CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT SERVICES, WHICH INCLUDE ADVOCACY, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS CLASSES, CULTURALLY SPECIFIC PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE LGBTQ PROGRAM (FOR SURVIVORS WHO IDENTIFY AS LESBIAN/GAY/BISEXUAL/TRANSGENDER/QUEER), THE HEALING ROOTS PROGRAM (FOR SURVIVORS WHO IDENTIFY AS BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN), AND SERVICES FOR SURVIVORS LIVING WITH HIV. IN 2019-2020 WE SERVED 67 ADULTS AND 54 YOUTH IN THE ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM, 32 ADULTS AND 7 CHILDREN IN THE LGBTQ PROGRAM, 19 ADULTS AND 18 YOUTH IN HEALING ROOTS, 2 HIV POSITIVE SURVIVORS, AND 370 PEOPLE SERVED THROUGH OUR FOOD SHELF.
OUR YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES TEAM OFFERS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES AND STRUCTURED GROUP ACTIVITIES TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACROSS PROGRAMS AND SITES. IN 2019-2020 290 CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN PROGRAMS. HEALING ROOTS HAS RECEIVED ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO EXPAND FAMILY & YOUTH SERVICES SPECIFICALLY TO BLACK AND AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILIES THROUGH CULTURALLY SPECIFIC & EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITIES FOCUSED ON POSITIVELY INTERRUPTING INTERGENERATIONAL TRAUMA CYCLES.
