Business for a Better Portland makes a positive difference in the city we love by combining the strength of business advocacy with the power of technology and grassroots social change. Our goal is to insure Portland is an equitable city where prosperity can be shared by all.
By forging collaborative relationships between the business community, non-profit organizations, and government, Business for a Better Portland (BBPDX)advocates for a Portland that is equitable and prosperous for all. BBPDX provides a platform for businesses in Portland, Oregon, to become educated on and discuss social and policy problems impacting their businesses, such as homelessness, transportation, and housing. Businesses affiliated with BBPDX believe that by engaging on social issues they will improve quality of life for Portlanders, which will in turn provide a stronger customer base for their businesses. BBPDX coordinates monthly policy focal points, such as housing, transportation, and homelessness, to facilitate collective action by affiliated businesses.
