Organizations Filed Purposes: ChickTechs mission is to retain women in the technology workforce and increase the number of women and girls pursuing technology-based careers.

Our youth programs served 928 unique girls, including K-12 students. Our largest youth program is ChickTech: High School, which ran in 13 chapter locations across the country and national virtual programming commencing in April 2020, totaling 65 events providing 8,418 program hours. 38% of students reported as low-income (as determined by participation in the free/reduced lunch program) and 75% students of color. The high school program serves underserved girls, including non-binary and transgender youth, throughout the school year, with activities ranging from hands-on workshops and career mentoring with technology professionals. The objectives include increasing participants: knowledge and confidence in technology skills; interest in and pursuit of technology careers, and sense of belonging and community in the technology industry in order to increase the number of girls/young women entering the technology workforce. With the onset of COVID-19, ChickTech transitioned all programming to the virtual space in April 2020 by bringing together chapters to offer national workshops following the same program impact targets and support for students.

Our second main program is Advancing the Careers of Technical Women (ACT-W)focused on increasing women entering technology careers through non-traditional pathways and increasing retention of women in technology. ACT-W programs strive to provide professional and career development, a supportive community for women, and connections to hiring companies. We ran 90 events for adults across the country, including ACT-W regional conferences, ACT-W+ webinars, and chapter ACT-W: Connect events, serving 1,116 adults at 14 chapters and national virtual webinars. ACT-W+, an online membership program, was launched in February 2020 in order to increase program accessibility for adults without local ChickTech chapters and ongoing professional development through live and recorded webinars, a library database of trainings, connections to hiring companies and professional development services and a networking community building informal mentorship and support for women in every stage of their careers. All ACT-W programs follow four main tracks: Leadership, Professional Development, Technical Skills, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the workplace.
