Family Forward Oregon is creating public policies and changing workplace practices to ensure economic security for women and families.
In the last year, we successfully passed paid family and medical leave in Oregon. We passed the strongest, most inclusive law in the country. Our organizing program developed regional Action Teams that meet monthly, engage in deep training around anti-oppression as well as advocacy skills and take action together. In 2019, we created and delivered 50 trainings, hosted an additional 40 events and actions with a total of 504 individuals building skills.
