Meridian Park Medical Foundation's mission is to advance the patient care, education and technology in medical science at Legacy Meridian Park Hospital. It also encourages charitable giving and provides faithful stewardship of the community's philanthropy.
Charitable gifts to Meridian Park Medical Foundation support the programs and services of Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, many of which are not supported by traditional means of reimbursement.Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center, which opened in 1973, has continually expanded to meet the needs of the fast-growing southern metropolitan area. Provided emergency medications, durable medical equipment and other health-related supplies to uninsured, under-insured, and low-income patients. Supported complementary therapies for cancer patients including nutrition education, exercise, art therapy and yoga classes. Purchased specialized equipment to support pediatric rehabilitation therapies for children. Purchased specialized equipment to support the development of a new neurological intensive care unit at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Purchased new bassinets for the family birth center. Purchased new ultrasound equipment for the emergency department. Supported programming to improve the care of patients with dementia. Supported child passenger safety seat activities for the community. Provided support for continuing education for physicians, nurses, therapists and other staff at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Provided Stop the Bleed training to high school teachers and other community partners.
