Organizations Filed Purposes: To inspire youth to realize their power, individually and collectively, and to mentor future social leaders. Through free, youth-led camps, trainings, activities and coaching, diverse youth break down barriers and meet their health, educational career and leadership goals.

Youth Equity Collaborative (YEC) -Momentum Alliance convenes a collaborative or 6 youth organizing programs including: MA (lead), OPAL Youth Environmental Justice Alliance, Multnomah Youth Commission, CAPACES TURNO, Latinos Unidos Siempre, and Oregon Student Association. The collaborative provides leadership opportunities for youth in Oregon to build a statewide youth-led intersectional social justice movement. YEC addresses the need for more multi-identity and multi-issue youth of color organizing across the state. YEC Highlights:-Connected a dozen youth of color to Get Out the Vote Campaign that contacted hundreds of thousands of youth voters (paid opportunity for youth) -Paid each participating organization $5000 stipend. -Helped other YEC members received $185,000 of funding for 2019 Jan - Dec 2020-Sent 50 youth of color to the Oregon Students of Color Conference. Hosted meetings for youth of color across Oregon to learn from each other and build relationships Black Youth Programming (RJYA + YEA + Camps + Monthly Activities included in this program) First time ever having a Black Youth Cohort of 12 youth and offered monthly paid leadership opportunities for youth to learn and practice leadership. Hosted free camps and monthly activities for youth. Metro Racial Equity PartnershipThe goal of this partnership is to ensure that youth of color are an integral part of regional government. Basically to help government be less racist & ageist. Metro Racial Equity Highlights: Hosted a dozen meetings between youth and Metro staff, supported 4 youth to serve on Metro committees, strengthened relationships with Metro. This partnership also includes 2 youth-led cohorts: 1) SWC Anti-displacement cohort & 2) Metro Youth Equity Cohort. Through these cohorts, we created 6 youth internships, youth met with Metro directors monthly for 4 months to explore different racial justice topics -this is historical and powerful, this program is continuing in 2020!
