MT. SCOTT PARK CENTER FOR LEARNING IS AN ACCREDITED, DIPLOMA-BASED PROGRAM IN SOUTHEAST PORTLAND THAT PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL SETTING TAILORED TO THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 WHO STRUGGLE TO FULFILL THEIR POTENTIAL IN THE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.

MT. SCOTT PARK CENTER FOR LEARNING IS A NON-PROFIT, FULLY ACCREDITED EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVING STUDENTS WHO PREVIOUSLY STRUGGLED ACADEMICALLY OR SOCIALLY IN TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 1994, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROVIDED A SAFE, NURTURING LEARNING COMMUNITY WHERE STUDENTS RECEIVE STRONG SUPPORT FOCUSING ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, IMPROVED SELF-ESTEEM AND PERSONAL GROWTH.2019-20 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED:(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)-PROVIDED RELATIONSHIP-BASED HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION WITH INDIVIDUALIZED AND SMALL GROUP SUPPORT TO 193 PORTLAND-AREA STUDENTS.-MAINTAINED ENGAGEMENT WITH 99% OF STUDENTS DURING SPRING LOCKDOWN AND PROVIDED CREATIVE VIRTUAL COURSE OPTIONS TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF LEARNING.-MAINTAINED A GRADUATION COMPLETION RATE OF MORE THAN 90 PERCENT, ONE OF THE HIGHEST RANKINGS AMONG TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS IN THE PORTLAND AREA.-CELEBRATED 35 GRADUATING SENIORS IN PHYSICALLY-DISTANCED GRADUATION CEREMONY.-80% OF GRADUATES PURSUED A PATH TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION AND TRAINING. -STUDENTS COMPLETED MORE THAN 2,600 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE DURING THE YEAR, SERVING A VARIETY OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND AGENCIES IN THE PORTLAND AREA.-CONTINUED TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH MORE THAN 30 COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS.-EXCEEDED FUNDRAISING GOALS BY OVER 300%, INCLUDING CAPACITY-BUILDING PROJECT THAT RESULTED IN OUR FIRST DEDICATED DEVELOPMENT STAFFING POSITION.
