IT IS THE MISISON OF MULTNOMAH UNIVERSITY TO EQUIP CHRISTIAN STUDENTS THROUGH HIGHER EDUCATION TO BECOME BIBLICALLY COMPETENT, ACADEMICALLY PROFICIENT, SPIRITUAL FORMED, AND CULTURALLY ENGAGED SERVANT LEADERS, SHAPED TO BE A TRANSFORMING FORCE IN THE CHURCH, COMMUNITY AND WORLD. THE UNIVERSITY PROVIDES STUDENTS ALL SERVICES NECESSARY FOR A COLLEGE EDUCATION AND ASSISTS, WHERE POSSIBLE, THOSE STUDENTS IN FINANCIAL NEED.
DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR THE COLLEGE PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 SEMINARY AND 500 UNDERGRADUATE & MASTERS STUDENTS (TOTAL 700 STUDENTS).Multnomah is completing it's last year of a 4 year Comprehensive Campaign, ending with a goal of $18 million. One focus of the campaign was the constructing of a soccer field, which began preliminary work this Spring. The university also completed the membership requirements to become a member of the CCCU, Council for Christian College & Universities. Academic: The university has been adjusting the academic calendar over the last few years to be able to offer more courses within a semester. This year was the first year of being able to offer two sessions within a semester for online courses. This has given students the opportunity to complete their course work in a way that fits their schedule and pace of completion. With COVID restrictions put in place in March of 2020, the university was able to rapidly adjust and offer remote learning to be able to complete the Spring and Summer semesters.Athletics: Our current programs are Men's & Women's Basketball, Men's Soccer, Men's & Women's Cross-Country, Men's & Women's Golf, Women's Volleyball and Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field. These programs have helped us to grow our student body and increase our diversity.
