The North/Northeast Business Association is a non-profit that helps to promote and sustain the economic and business development of inner urban N/NE Portland. We are a voice, advocate, facilitator and catalyst for businesses and residents.
In 2019, our organization was selected as the outreach organization for the North/Northeast Community Development Initiative established by Prosper Portland and guided by ann advisory committee to develop an action plan to guide the investment of funds fro the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area for economic and redevelopment purposes.
Fiscal Sponsorship for the Hill Block Project Working Group: Our organization serves as the Fiscal Sponsor for this association which as been tasked to assist with the development on specific vacant land with the intent to honor Portlands African American Community and support community housing and economics.
Green Light Black Lives - young people were chosen to participate in year two of the Youth Media Project: Green Lighting Black Lives Matter. This program recruits and trains next generation Black youth entrepreneurs, ages 16-26, in the usage and purposeful application of cutting edge video technology, film and video production equipment and seeks to inspire and empower them to tell their own stories of what it means to grow up Black on the streets of Portland, Oregon.
