THE OREGON CHEESE FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE ON MARCH 16 & 17, 2019 AT ROGUE CREAMERY IN CENTRAL POINT WHERE THERE WERE 4,500 ATTENDEES AND 125 FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDORS. THE WEDGE WAS HELD OCTOBER 5, 2019 AT ALDER BLOCK IN PORTLAND WITH 2,000 ATTENDEES AND 100 FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDORS.
GENERAL MARKETING: DURING 2019, OCG CONTINUED TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF OREGON ARTISAN CHEESE THROUGH OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, THE OREGON CHEESE MONTH CAMPAIGN IN SEPTEMBER, AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE OREGON CHEESE TRAIL MAP. OTHER PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE AN IN-STORE DEMO PROGRAM, PARTICIPATION AT EXTERNAL CONSUMER EVENTS, PRESENTATIONS, ETC.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: AN INDUSTRY-ONLY CONFERENCE, CHEESEMAKER EDUCATION DAY, WAS HELD ON JANUARY 26, 2019 AT OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY. ONE HUNDRED CHEESEMAKERS FROM OREGON AND THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST PARTICIPATED.
