Organizations Filed Purposes: TO ENSURE THE HIGHEST QUALITY OF CARE FOR ALL OREGONIANS THROUGH AN ENHANCED TELEHEALTH NETWORK, EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND STATE-WIDE COLLABORATION.

BUILD OREGON'S FIRST STATEWIDE HEALTH CARE NETWORK OR "HIGHWAY". THE NETWORK IS DESIGNED TO CONNECT ALL HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION PROVIDERS WHO PLAY A ROLE IN THE DELIVERY OF COORDINATED, PATIENT CENTERED CARE THROUGH A ROBUST, RELIABLE, AND SCALLABLE STATEWIDE BROADBAND NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTION. OHN'S ABILITY TO DO SO IS THANKS LARGELY TO HAVING RECEIVED THE FIFTH LARGEST RURAL HEALTH CARE PILOT PROGRAM (RHCPP) SUBSIDY TO BUILD OUT ITS CORE NETWORK ARCHITECTURE AND MEMBERSHIP BASE.

NETWORK CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION - THE RHCPP PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ELIGIBLE OHN PARTICIPANTS FOR UP TO 85% OF THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THEIR NEW BROADBAND CONNECTION. OHN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RAISING THE 15% IN MATCHING FUNDS FOR THE ONE-TIME INSTALLATION COSTS, AND PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE 15% MATCH OF MONTHLY RECURRING COSTS.NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER/TECHNOLOGY AND POINT OF PRESENCE - AS A CORE VALUE-ADDED SERVICE, THE NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER (NOC) MONITORS THE QUALITY OF THE NETWORK 24/7 TO ENSURE THAT VENDORS LIVE UP TO THE STRICT SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENTS ESTABLISHED BY OHN. THE RHCPP SUBSIDY ALSO PROVIDES THE SUPPORT FOR UP TO 85% OF COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE NOC. OHN HAS A POINT OF PRESENCE (POP) SOLUTION TO INCLUDE HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS WHO HAD TELECOMMUNICATION VENDORS THAT DID NOT HAVE A PEERING RELATIONSHIP WITH NORTHWEST ACCESS AND EXCHANGE (NWAX). POP PROVIDES OHN THE FLEXIBILITY TO ACCEPT OTHER MEMBERS WITH VARYING TELECOMMUNICATION PROVIDERS.

HOSTED SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES - THE FIRST OF MANY SOLUTIONS TO COME, OHN OFFERS THE ONLY FULL-SERVICE TELEHEALTH VIDEO CONFERENCING SOLUTION OF ITS KIND TO SUPPORT THE EXPANDING COORDINATED CARE AND TELEHEALTH PROGRAM INITIATIVES. SERVICES LIKE THESE ENHANCE THE VALUE AND USE OF THE NETWORK AND ARE DESIGNED TO REDUCE TRANSPORT COSTS AND IMPROVE PATIENT EXPERIENCE/HEALTH OUTCOMES.

ADVOCACY - FEDERAL AND STATE BROADBAND, HEALTH CARE/EDUCATION AND HEALTH CARE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (HIT) POLICIES AND PROGRAMS DIRECTLY AFFECT OHN'S ABILITY TO SERVE ITS VISION AND THE GOALS OF THE CENTER FOR MEDICARE & MEDICAID (CMT), CALLED THE "TRIPLE AIM". EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, COLLABORATION, AND COORDINATION EFFORTS AT THE REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL ARE CENTRAL TO THE SUSTAINABILITY OF OHN AND TO THE PARTICIPANTS WHICH THE ORGANIZATION IS CHARGED TO SERVE.
