The Oregon Public Health Institute (OPHI) serves as a vital non-profit component of Oregon's public health infrastructure by using and advocating for strategies that advance equity and reduce disparities, whether leading or supporting the work of others; creating innovative and sustainable community-led initiatives through private and public partnerships; amplifying scientifically sound ideas and community-driven solutions to advance public health policy and action; and nimbly responding to emerging public health issues that impact health in Oregon and beyond.
Oregon Community Health Workers Association (ORCHWA) is an organization fiscally sponsored by OPHI. ORCHWA's mission is to support and promote Community Health Workers (CHWs) throughout the state of Oregon. To meet its mission ORCHWA provides training and education regarding CHWs, and the CHW field and practice, to both CHWs and interested parties; provides ongoing technical and professional support to CHWs and community based organizations that employ CHWs; and develops and/or advocates for favorable policies and funding mechanisms to allow the CHW workforce and practice to thrive in Oregon.
Oregon Recovers is an organization fiscally sponsored by OPHI. Oregon Recovers is an inclusive statewide coalition comprised of people in recovery-and their friends and family-uniting to transform Oregon healthcare to ensure world-class prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for Oregonians suffering from the disease of addiction.
