REACH PROVIDES INTERNAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND ASSET MANAGEMENT FOR ITS PROPERTIES. IN 2019 REACH OPENED TWO NEW BUILDINGS, ISABELLA II, WITH 49 APARTMENTS, AND 72ND AND FOSTER, WITH 102 APARTMENTS SERVING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, AND HAS 2 NEW COMMUNITIES AND ONE REHAB PROJECT SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN 2020.
COMMUNITY BUILDERS PROGRAM: REACH PROVIDES FREE HOME REPAIRS FOR LOW-INCOME ELDERLY AND/OR DISABLED HOMEOWNERS TO AGE IN PLACE AND HELP MAINTAIN HOUSING STABILITY. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING ACCESSIBILITY AND SAFETY UPGRADES, SUCH AS WHEELCHAIR RAMPS, GRAB BARS, AND SMOKE DETECTORS. REACH SERVES APPROXIMATELY 200 HOUSEHOLDS ANNUALLY, UTILIZING SEVERAL HUNDRED VOLUNTEERS, DONATED MATERIALS AND CONTRACTED LABOR.
RESIDENT SERVICES AND PROGRAM: REACH'S RESIDENT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS HELP PEOPLE MAINTAIN HOUSING STABILITY, ACHIEVE GREATER FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE, AND IMPROVE HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE BY: (1) INCREASING RESIDENTS' ECONOMIC STABILITY THROUGH FINANCIAL EDUCATION, MATCHED SAVINGS PROGRAMS, AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, (2) PROVIDING INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO CONNECT RESIDENTS TO ESSENTIAL COMMUNITY AND HEALTH SERVICES, LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS, SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT, AND PARTNERING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
