Organizations Filed Purposes:
Wayfinding Academy is a Nonprofit Corporation and shall operate exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code. Wayfinding Academy's purpose is to provide an alternative model of higher education/post-secondary education. To maximize our impact on current efforts, we seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations which fall under the 501(c)(3) section of the internal revenue code and are operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
Our Matchmaking is focused on identifying prospective students and enrolling them into our two year program. It is a multi-step processes culminating in an invitation to the student to join the next cohort. Through this process we ultimately recruited 18 students.
The Wayfinder Weekend is an event for our community members, prospective students and the broader public to get a sneak peak of elements in our two year program. The activities include mini-labs, classes, guide groups, teambuilding and other related activities. We had more than 60 participants.
Our community engagement program is our general outreach program to engage community members in our activities, this includes recruiting and managing volunteers as well as hosting informal events for the community members. This program also includes identifying partner organizations and building relationships with them.
