THE HOPE PROJECT IS A LANE COUNTY NON-PROFIT DEDICATED TO QUICK RESPONSE NEEDS-- LARGE AND SMALL, CLOSE BY AND FAR AWAY. THE MISSION IS SIMPLE: IF WE HEAR ABOUT A NEED FALLING THROUGH THE CRACKS OR NEEDING IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE, WELL COORDINATE AND PROVIDE ANY HELP WE CAN.
THE HOPE PROJECT SERVED OVER 10,000 PEOPLE. WE HELD EVENTS OR DID OUTREACH 250 DAYS IN 2020. WE HELD 125 EVENTS FOR THE YEAR. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE HOPE PROJECT IS TO BE A FAST RESPONSE GROUP THAT MEETS IMMEDIATE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE IN LANE COUNTY. WE PROVIDED 250 HOME SCHOOL PACKETS TO STUDENTS FORCED HOME BY COVID. WE OPENED OUR WAREHOUSE TO 350 PEOPLE TO GET SCHOOL SUPPLIES DURING COVID. WE PROVIDED 500 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO OUR LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DISTRIBUTE TO FAMILIES FORCED HOME BY COVID. WE PROVIDED MEALS TO 5000 MEALS TO EVACUEES, FRONTLINE WORKERS, FIREFIGHTERS AND VOLUNTEERS DURING THE HOLIDAY FARM FIRE.WE SET UP BASIC NEED STORES IN 7 HOTELS TO MEET THE EVERYDAY NEEDS OF THE EVACUEES FROM THE HOLIDAY FARM FIRE. WE PROVIDED 4 SEMI LOADS OF BASIC NEED ITEMS TO THE RELIEF CENTERS IN BLUE RIVER OREGON FOLLOWING THE HOLIDAY FARM FIRE. WE PROVIDED A TRUCK OR TREAT EVENT WITH MEALS TO 100 FAMILIES WHO LOST THEIR HOMES IN THE HOLIDAY FIR
