To provide local homeless children and their families with stable, community-based, short-term housing while increasing self-sufficiency, supplying supported access to local resources and helping families transition to sustainable homes.
The organization began services March 17, 2019. Up until that date the work on the Day Center was being completed. The organization serves homeless families in the Tigard-Tualatin, Sherwood and Lake Oswego school district boundaries. Over 900 referrals were made to provide families with connections to food and clothing pantries, early childhood services, counseling services, DHS, WIC, car repair and other regional services and programs. Shelter was provided for 13 families consisting of 53 people for 2,731 bed nights and 8,193 meals served. Six families or 21 people were provided rental assistance or advocacy. Ten families were supported in their journey to housing. Over 200 students have been identified in the three school districts served.
