Organizations Filed Purposes: Northwoods Alliance, Inc is committed to land conservation for the economic, social and intrinsic values to the public, as well as the immense ecological value. We actively seek long term protection for large properties that provide outdoor recreational opportunities, intact habitat for terrestrial and aquatic species and opportunities for sustainable resource management through public education highlighting the many benefits.

Protecting Wildcat Falls by establishing a Community Forest and open space conservation program by purchasing 160 acres of land which enhanced public appreciation and sustainable use while providing permanent protection of the forest's natural features and wildlife habitat.

Virtually all our FY20 expenses and over 90% of our FY20 revenue were for the acquisition of the 160 acres of pristine undeveloped land to be managed as a community forest. The specific benefits of the Wildcat Falls Community Forest are clean air and water, wildlife habitat, education, research and demonstration value, economic benefits through timber and non-timber forest products, diverse public recreational opportunities, including hunting and fishing and maintaining the area's attractive forested aesthetic.
