About The Foundation Our story began in 1989, when a group of 150 individuals, businesses and organizations contributed over $120,000 to establish St. Michael's Foundation with a mission to develop, manage and grant charitable support to meet the healthcare needs of the community. Through our generous donors and responsible stewardship of gifts, the Foundation's restricted and endowed funds have grown to more than $5 million. The growth in funding has allowed us the opportunity to offer support of medical and dental care to countless individuals and groups locally. St. Michael's Foundation has provided nearly $3 million to support the tradition of serving others, fulfilling health related needs and strengthening lives in our community by helping to serve the poor and those in need. The positive impact that these grants have had on this community is immeasurable.
