WE SERVE FAMILIES, YOUNG ADULTS, SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES WITH CONCERNS RELATED TO AGING, DEMENTIA, MENTAL HEALTH, BRAIN INJURY OR OTHER DISABILITY, OR BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. WE HELP PEOPLE MAINTAIN OR REGAIN INDEPENDENCE, BUILD SKILLS AND PROVIDE ENRICHING OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALTHY AGING.

CURATIVE CONNECTIONS HELPS PEOPLE ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS FOR INDEPENDENCE, INCLUDING PEOPLE WITH COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES, PEOPLE WITH NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENTS, OLDER ADULTS, PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA, AND YOUTH AND ADULTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS. PROGRAMS INCLUDE ADULT DAY CARE (INCLUDING DEMENTIA-SPECIFIC SERVICES), EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES, SUPPORTIVE SERVICES BOTH IN THE HOME AND ELSEWHERE IN THE COMMUNITY, SPECIALIZED LEARNING PROGRAMS, AND SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION SERVICES. IN 2019, CURATIVE CONNECTIONS' TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED 67,670 DISTINCT TRIPS THROUGH BROWN COUNTY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND VULNERABLE OLDER ADULTS, TRAVELING MORE THAN 649,746 MILES. THE PROGRAM USES 83 VOLUNTEERS AND 32 VEHICLES TO TRANSPORT PEOPLE TO AND FROM A VARIETY OF APPOINTMENTS IN THE COMMUNITY TO HELP THEM REMAIN CONNECTED, SAFE AND HEALTHY. CURATIVE CONNECTIONS PROVIDES THE ONLY ADULT DAY CARE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN BROWN COUNTY AND EACH YEAR HELPS HUNDREDS OF SENIORS AND THEIR LOVED ONES AVOID NURSING HOMES AND ASSISTED LIVING. HOME IS WHERE PEOPLE WISH TO REMAIN LIVING, FOR AS LONG AS THEY ARE ABLE. CURATIVE CONNECTIONS' EARLY MEMORY LOSS PROGRAM HELPS DELAY PEOPLES' NEED FOR ADULT DAY SERVICES.CURATIVE CONNECTIONS HELPS PEOPLE AGE 55 AND OLDER WHO HAVE LOWER INCOMES AND ARE UNEMPLOYED BY PROVIDING PAID, ON-THE-JOB TRAINING. THE GOAL OF THE 14-COUNTY PROGRAM, CALLED SENIOR TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (STEP), IS TO HELP PARTICIPANTS EVENTUALLY SECURE PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT. OUR SERVICE AREA INCLUDES BROWN, CALUMET, DOOR, KEWAUNEE, LINCOLN, MANITOWOC, MARATHON, MENOMINEE, OUTAGAMIE, OZAUKEE, SHAWANO, SHEBOYGAN, WAUPACA AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES. APPLICANTS FOR STEP MUST MEET FEDERAL INCOME GUIDELINES TO ENROLL. PARTICIPANTS MAY REMAIN WITH THE PROGRAM UP TO FOUR YEARS WHILE THEY SEEK PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT OUTSIDE OF THE PROGRAM. WHILE EARNING AN INCOME THROUGH STEP, PARTICIPANTS ENHANCE THEIR SKILLS, GET A CURRENT WORK REFERENCE AND SUPPLEMENT THEIR INCOME.
