HEALTHY FAMILIES: A VOLUNTARY, HOME VISITATION PROGRAM OFFERING INTENSIVE SUPPORT TO PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE 5 IN AN EFFORT TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT. BROWN & DOOR COUNTIES. 2,017 WELCOME-BABY VISITS AND 2,045 HOME VISITS. 150 FAMILIES ENROLLED, 163 CHILDREN SERVED.EARLY HEAD START: A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM THAT WORKS WITH LOW-INCOME INFANTS, TODDLERS, PREGNANT WOMEN, AND THEIR FAMILIES. SERVICES ARE MANAGED IN COLLABORATION WITH CESA 7, AND FOCUS ON ENHANCING CHILDREN'S PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT. BROWN COUNTY. 60 FAMILIES SERVED.
RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT: PROVIDES INTENSIVE SERVICES TO YOUTH WHO ARE UNABLE TO REMAIN IN THEIR HOMES OR OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED SETTINGS DUE TO SIGNIFICANT EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS. NORTHEAST WISCONSIN. 36 YOUTH SERVED.
CRISIS CENTER: PROVIDES SHORT-TERM CRISIS COUNSELING IN PERSON OR OVER THE PHONE FOR PEOPLE OF ANY AGE, 24 HOURS A DAY AND FREE OF CHARGE. BROWN, SHEBOYGAN AND 12 NORTHERN WISCONSIN COUNTIES. 6,296 IN-PERSON COUNSELING SESSIONS; 24,596 TELEPHONE CRISIS CALLS ANSWERED.
