CREATE NEW JOBS IN THE FOOD PROCESSING, DISTRIBUTION & RETAIL INDUSTRIES, IMPROVE THE ECONOMIC BASE OF LOCAL PROVIDERS OF EQUIPMENT, FURNISHINGS, SUPPLIES AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES. ENCOURAGE BUSINESSES TO EXPAND INTO THE GROWING AGRICULTURAL TOURISM & SPECIALITY FOOD MARKETS. STIMULATE SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH AND HELP PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE LAND USE IN THE REGION. HELP AREA AGENCIES TEACH LOW INCOME & DISPLACED WORKERS NEW SKILLS IN THE FOOD PROCESSING & FOOD SERV
