SAFIRE IS AN EXPERIMENT TO EXPLORE THREE DIMENSIONAL PLASMA BEHAVIOR AND COMPARE THE FINDINGS TO OBSERVE THE OUTER ATMOSPHERE PLASMA BEHAVIOR OF STARS USING LOW PRESSURE CHANGE UNDER VARYING DEGREES AND CONFIGURATIONS OF ELECTRICAL STRESS. SPECIFIC MEASUREMENTS OF THE SAFIRE CHAMBER WILL BE CORRELATED WITH NASA MEASUREMENTS OF OUR SUN. EXAMINING THESE CORRELATIONS WILL HELP FURTHER DETERMINE THE ROLE OF PLASMA, ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM IN SOLAR PHYSICS. THE PROGRAM HAS TWO STEPS WITH STEP ONE BEING COMPLETED DURING 2014. STEP TWO WILL DESIGN, FABRICATE AND TEST SAFIRE KEY ATTRIBUTES USING SELECTED EXPERIMENTAL FACTORS.
