Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE MISSION OF CASA OF ROCK COUNTY IS TO RECRUIT, TRAIN AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE AND NEGLECT.
CASA OF ROCK COUNTY INC. ADVOCATES FOR THE BEST INTEREST OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN WITHIN THE COURT SYSTEM. BASED ON THE BELIEF THAT EVERY CHILD IS ENTITLED TO A SAFE AND PERMANENT HOME, CASA OF ROCK COUNTY WORKS IN THE COURT SYSTEM THROUGH TRAINED VOLUNTEERS IN COLLABORATION WITH KEY AGENCIES, LEGAL COUNSEL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO SERVE AS THE CHILD'S ADVOCATE AND REPRESENT THE CHILD INVOLVED IN CHILD IN NEED OF PROTECTION AND/OR SERVICES (CHIPS) CASES.
THROUGHOUT 2019, CASA OF ROCK COUNTY RECRUITED AND SCREENED 48 VOLUNTEER APPLICANTS. 28 OF THE VOLUNTEER APPLICANTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED TRAINING, BECOMING COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES SERVING AS "FRIENDS OF THE COURT" FOR THE HONORABLE JUDGE, MICHAEL HAAKENSON. STAFF CONDUCTED THREE 20 HOUR TRAINING SESSIONS DURING THE YEAR AND SUPERVISED A TOTAL OF 59 VOLUNTEER ADVOCATES WHO SERVED 150 CHILDREN. CASA OF ROCK COUNTY PROVIDED MONTHLY CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES FOR VOLUNTEER ADVOCATES.
