Our mission is to prepare Black and other youth for economic independence by focusing on: self-esteem, health, goal-setting, academic achievement, study skills, diploma and degree completion, work skills, business opportunities, service to others and citizenship.
TREPP - Teacher, Recruitment, Education and Placement Project works with the School District of Beloit and Racine Unified School District to identify candidates who share the dream of being an educator. TREPP prepares these individuals to realize their dream and help with the shortage of teachers.
Stars Program - Providing our communitys youngest scholars with the head start they need to succeed
The Charles Hamilton Houston Institutes mission is preparing black and other youth for economic independence by focusing on self-esteem, health, academic achievement, service and more. Through programs like the Youth Empowerment Academy (YEA) our general account, the STARS program and others, CHHI serves the Black community and strengthens the entire community.
