CDS will be a partner and a catalyst in developing and strengthening cooperative economies by providing highly effective development services to new and existing cooperatives
In FY20, CDS provided education, training and technical assistance to over 100 co-ops, a dozen startup groups, and over 20 agricultural producers. Our work resulted in the incorporation of two new co-ops and one community-based LLC and secured grant funding for clients of over $450,000. A highlight was work with the MN Indigenous Business Alliance, creating a guide to co-op development in Indigenous communities, and growing capacity for co-op development in those communities.
