WI-AIMH IS THE ONLY AGENCY IN WISCONSIN TO HOLD AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED LICENSE (IMH ENDORSEMENT) TO CREDENTIAL PROFESSIONALS TO ENSURE THEY MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF PRACTICE. IMH ENDORSEMENT VERIFIES THAT A PROFESSIONAL HAS ATTAINED UNIQUE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE WITHIN THEIR ROLE TO SUPPORT OPTIMAL DEVELOPMENT OF INFANTS, YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. WI-AIMH COORDINATES STATEWIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS: HOME VISITING REFLECTIVE PRACTICE PROJECT AND PYRAMID MODEL FOR SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL COMPETENCE. HOME VISITING REFLECTIVE PRACTICE PROJECT, FUNDED BY THE WI DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, PROVIDES ON-SITE REFLECTIVE CONSULTATION TO STATE-FUNDED HOME VISITING SITES. IN 2019, WI-AIMH SUPPORTED 19 INFANT/EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTANTS AND 6 MENTORS TO INTEGRATE REFLECTIVE PRACTICES INTO 15 HOME VISITING SITES.PYRAMID MODEL, FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, IS AN EVIDENCE-BASED MULTI-TIERED SYSTEM OF SUPPORT FOR PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS TO PROMOTE OPTIMAL SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN AND PREVENT CHALLENGING BEHAVIORS. SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE FRAMEWORK IN 2009, PYRAMID MODEL HAS GROWN TO HAVE OVER 100 TRAINERS, 200 CLASSROOM COACHES, AND 12 PROGRAM/EXTERNAL COACHES.CHAPTERS, AFFILIATES AND PARTNER DEVELOPMENT --- IN AN EFFORT TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF INFANT MENTAL HEALTH AND PROVIDE SUPPORT THROUGHOUT WISCONSIN, WI-AIMH BEGAN EFFORTS TOWARDS ESTABLISHING REGIONAL CHAPTERS AS A LOCAL RESOURCE FOR PROFESSIONALS ACROSS SYSTEMS IN DISCIPLINES THAT TOUCH THE LIVES OF INFANTS, YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE NORTHEAST AND SOUTHEAST REGIONAL CHAPTERS WERE FORMALLY LAUNCHED IN 2016, AND SOUTHERN CHAPTER WAS FORMALLY LAUNCHED IN 2017.WI-AIMH BECAME AN AFFILIATE OF THE WORLD ASSOCIATION FOR INFANT MENTAL HEALTH AND A MEMBER OF THE ALLIANCE FOR ADVANCEMENT OF INFANT MENTAL HEALTH. WI-AIMH IS A MEMBER OF THE PYRAMID MODEL CONSORTIUM. EDUCATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING --- IN 2017, WI-AIMH DEVELOPED AND LAUNCHED REFLECTIVE SUPERVISION LEARNING COLLABORATIVE - A 12 MONTHS-LONG OPPORTUNITY FOR INFANT/EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPERVISORS TO LEARN ABOUT, EXPERIENCE AND IMPLEMENT REFLECTIVE SUPERVISION IN THEIR PROGRAMS. IN 2019, 19 PARTICIPANTS JOINED THE THIRD COHORT OF SUPERVISORS AND 9 SUPERVISORS GRADUATED FROM THE SECOND COHORT. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE SURVEY DATA SHOWED THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CHANGING PRACTICE AND INCREASING REFLECTIVE CAPACITIES OF SUPERVISORS AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE COLLABORATIVE.

CONFERENCE - THE 2019 WISCONSIN INFANT AND EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE REACHED ITS FULL CAPACITY WITH 412 PROFESSIONALS IN ATTENDANCE. CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS REPRESENTED A CROSS SECTION OF PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING BIRTH TO 3 PROVIDERS, PUBLIC HEALTH STAFF, HOME VISITORS, MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS, TEACHERS, AND CHILD WELFARE STAFF. THE 2019 CONFERENCE FOCUSED ON EQUITY AND INCLUSION, FEATURED NATIONAL AND LOCAL EXPERTS, AND PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN AND CONNECT OVER THREE DAYS. BASED ON THE PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK, THE OVERALL SATISFACTION RATE WAS 4.48 ON A 5-POINT SCALE.
