Organizations Filed Purposes:
WISCONSIN LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATION, INC.'S (WLEA) PRINCIPAL PURPOSES SHALL BE: TO UNITE MEMBERS OF THE THREE UNION LOCALS EMPLOYED IN THE LAW ENFORCEMENT (LE) BARGAINING UNIT OF THE STATE EMPLOYEES; TO COLLECTIVELY WORK TOWARDS FAIR WAGES, HOURS OF WORK, WORKING CONDITIONS, AND OTHER BENEFITS AFFORDED TO STATE EMPLOYEES; TO PROVIDE REPRESENTATION DURING CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS AND ENFORCEMENT OF SAID CONTRACT THROUGH GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES AND ARBITRATIONS; TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE A COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER UNION LOCALS IN THE WLEA.
UNION REPRESENTING WISCONSIN STATE TROOPERS & INSPECTORS IN THE PUBLIC SAFETY BARGAINING UNIT OF THE STATE OF WISCONSIN.
DURING 2018, THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTED APPROXIMATELY 800 MEMBERS. THE UNION MANAGED A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF GRIEVANCES AND ARBITRATION CASES. LEGAL ASSISTANCE WAS SECURED IN MORE THAN TEN CASES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
