Cream City Foundation serves as a catalyst for social change on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender LGBT communities in southeastern Wisconsin. To achieve our mission, the Foundation 1 Mobilizes philanthropic resources and 2Funds initiatives that target system-level change, taking into account race, class, gender and age.

Strategic grant making focusing on addressing the elevated priorities of equity, health and prosperity Economic justice, awareded 104,350 to 17 LGBTQ and allied nonprofits working to address the overall opportunists for LGBTQ people in SE Wisconsin to live prosperous and fulfilling lives with equal access and opportunity to participate. Launched the LGBTQ scholarhip program to support LGBTQ students in SE Wi with access to post secondary education. Awarded 12 deserving students scholarships ranging in the amount of 2500, for a total of 30,000. Researched the needs of the SE WI LGTBQ communities post marriage equality conducting an environmental scan of the research and needs nation wide to state, with 27 communities leaders being interviewed from 25 organizations in SE WI and Madison. The results of the research is being used to guide Foundation convenings, fundraising and grantmaking. A report to the community was compiled. Signature events and convenings have been held to raise awareness, visability, and support for LGBTQ issues and needs in SE WI.
