Milwaukee Center for Independence, Inc. (MCFI) assists individuals and families with special needs to better live and work in the community.

MCFI's Behavioral Health Services division supports adults living with serious mental illness, addiction, or chronic health conditions. Services offered include supportive case management, crisis intervention, medication management, housing, outpatient clinical services, primary care services, and benefit advocacy.
MCFI's Commercial & Employment programs support people with barriers to work - including disabilities, literacy gaps, and past criminal convictions - through skill development and education, placement, and coaching. Participants in the program learn self-management skills and receive on-the-job experience in the food service, custodial, and assembling and packaging industries. MCFI supports businesses with recruitment, evaluation, training and placement services, and helps identify tasks and projects for job-seekers to increase their employability.
MCFI's Supportive Living & Clinical division supports daily living skills for individuals living with disabilities. Participants in the program receive a wide range of services to improve their health and well-being, independent living skills, and ability to socialize and be an active part of the community. Supportive Living and Clinical also offers a rehabilitation program for people recovering from a brain injury, stroke, or neurological condition. Services include rehabilitation, clinical management, medication management, therapies, and community and social re-integration, with all services individualized to each client to ensure they meet their recovery goals.
