Revitalize Milwaukee, Inc. RM preserves affordable housing and transforms vulnerable neighborhoods throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. In 2019, RM completed 3,791 repairs on 361 homes, benefiting over 500 individuals. Of those 3,791 repairs, 498 were accessibility modifications, allowing homeowners to remain independent, and 81 were emergency repairs, completed in less than 48 hours. Our work last year was completed with the help of 6,108 volunteer hours and 15 locally licensed, minority contractors. Our homeowners have lived in their homes for an average of 29.7 years and are at risk of becoming homeless or paying unaffordable costs to live in an assisted living facility. To make sure our homeowners have everything they need to live safely and comfortably in their homes, we partner with 50 local agencies that are able to provide low-cost services that would otherwise go unattended.
